About The Team
Our team gives us the chance to learn and apply skills in engineering design, fabrication machinery, programming, business, marketing, team collaboration, and more!
As part of the annual FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC), our team has just 6 weeks to design, program, and build a robot. With such a short time frame, we have to practice excellent project management and work together collaboratively through each phase of the build process. Our mentors are invaluable, guiding us through this process, but, we are still very student-driven, developing skills we will use throughout our education and careers.
Southwest Ultraviolet Robotics FRC Team 2129 was founded in the Fall of 2006, and, recently, we went as far as the 2022 World Championship in Houston, Texas! We typically have 15-30 students on our team and always welcome new members.

Wondering about the time commitment?
The build season can get a little intimidating for scheduling, but there are many ways to contribute. If your schedule is holding you back, contact us to see how you can get involved. If you have a particular interest – don’t hold back – contact us at swrobotics@gmail.com and tell us how you would like to help.
We meet all year from 3-6 with intense practice sessions during the build season (only 6 weeks from January – mid-February). During the 6-week build season, we still meet after school from 3-6, but we also stay until 9 twice a week and meet all day on Saturdays and school release days.
See our Event Calendar for meeting times.
