[top]Technical Mentors

The FIRST Robotics Competition is unique in that it encourages students to learn directly from engineering professionals. Our mentors allow us to compete at our highest level in a competition that challenges students to develop skills necessary in the workplace such as creative problem solving, meeting deadlines, budgeting resources, and creating a product best fit to accomplish the specified task. Thank you!

If you are interested in donating your time and experience, please contact info@swrobotics.com for more information and tell us what you're interested in.

[top]Volunteers

Non-Engineering Mentors hold our team together; thank you all for helping us with fund-raising, publicity and outreach, business planning, logistics, team policies, and recruitment of both students and mentors (to name a couple things on a very long list).

If you are interested in donating your time and experience, please contact info@swrobotics.com for more information and tell us what you're interested in.

[top]Sponsors

NASA, Innovation First, Boston Scientific, Nonin Medical Inc., and thousands of other companies have sponsored FRC teams. These companies create the next generation of engineers and accomplish FIRST's goal: "to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership."

Sponsors help our team by finding technical mentors, donating materials, coming to regional events and demonstrations, inviting students to tour their facilities and use equipment, providing technical/marketing mentors for a team, or through monetary contributions. All sponsor logos go on our team T-shirts, robot, and website.

This year's predicted budget is $26,000. This includes registration, tools, robot parts, and travel costs. Most large corporate sponsors give $1,000 - $10,000 each. Any level of contribution is greatly appreciated! Please contact us at info@swrobotics.com.
